As far as engine options go, each of the four trims offered with the 2020 Jeep Compass come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to transmissions, the Sport and Latitude receive a six-speed manual transmission while the other trims can be had with either the six-speed or a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard on all trims except for the Trailhawk. The Trailhawk receives all-wheel drive which is optional for the other trim levels.
